Upon arrival at Hanoi – Noi Bai airport, look for your tour guide holding a signboard with your name on it. Then meet with your driver for a 45-min private transfer to your hotel in the center. Embark on an adventure riding pillion on a vintage Vespa to explore Hanoi like the way locals do. Take a sip of the authentic local café culture in the heart of the Old Quarter, then dart through the busy streets to explore the famous French colonial-style St. Joseph Cathedral. Enjoy an intimate ride through the city’s iconic narrow streets to the picturesque Art Street, where you will learn about local artists’ murals showcasing a mix of traditional Vietnamese culture and modern social influences. Then ride out of the city to the Long Bien Bridge, a magnificent structure built over a hundred years ago. After a short ride on your comfortable vintage Vespa toward the historic Huu Tiep Lake, explore the grounds of a 400-year-old temple, followed by a short walk to see the B52 crash site at the lake. This US bomber was shot down during the 1972 bombing raids of Hanoi, a poignant reminder of Vietnam’s recent history. The final ride takes you along the ancient dyke wall with beautifully decorated mosaic artwork. Make an en-route stop at a tranquil green oasis at a miniature Kumquat farm (seasonal) or learn about the ancient tradition of making tea at the home of a Vietnamese Tea Master. Transfer back to your hotel.

In the evening, your tour guide turn back hotel to transfer to chef’s house. Meet with the chef – a top-fiveVietnam Master Chef, who creates distinctive Northern Vietnamese dishes in a cozy and inviting kitchen. You will be welcomed at the doorstep of the lane and join the chef for a stroll through a small local market before heading to her home where the chef and three generations live together.

The chef will share stories and experiences about Vietnamese culinary that contribute to the unique flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. You’ll hear about the art of flavor creation using fish sauce – ‘nuoc mam’ – an indispensable spice in Vietnamese cooking. Moreover, you’ll be truly impressed as the Chef reveals the secrets of Hanoi’s famous ‘Egg Coffee’.  She will meticulously guide you through the techniques and tips for crafting your own cup of egg coffee.

Upon arrival, a brief cruise itinerary and safety regulations will be provided as you savour a welcome drink aboard the Paradise vessel.

Sit down at the restaurant and enjoy lunch with a view at the restaurant, allowing you to relish the scenic beauty of Halong Bay’s islets.

After lunch, you’ll have the chance to explore Titov Island, named after the Russian cosmonaut Gherman Stepanovich Titov. Opt for a short mountain hike for a panoramic view of Halong Bay or indulge in a swim at the island’s beach.

Next we will visit Luon Cave, a captivating natural wonder nestled in the heart of the bay. Traverse under the limestone mountain, marveling at rock formations and crystal-clear waters via a bamboo boat or kayak.
